Safety Knot: Cops Tie Rakhi On Riders Of Two-Wheeler In Odisha’s Malkangiri
Malkangiri: Police here spread the message of road safety by tying rakhis on riders of two-wheelers on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan on Monday.
Cops greeted the commuters, tied rakhi on their wrists and urged them to follow traffic rules.
“We requested all commuters to wear helmets for a safe journey, never go on a wrong way and obey traffic signals,” a police personnel said.
Officials of local police stations also distributed chocolates to the riders, encouraging them to abide by the law.
Locals of Malkangiri welcomed the unique initiative of district police and promised to follow traffic rules.
