Mumbai: ‘Dabangg’ actress Sonakshi Sinha’s interfaith marriage with Zaheer Iqbal had become a debatable topic for haters and they had even predicted that their marriage will not last for long.
However, proving the haters wrong, both Sonakshi and Zaheer have been giving major couple goals by sharing glimpses from their happily married life with fans every now and then.
During a recent conversation with Haarsh Limbachiyaa on their YouTube channel Bharti TV, Sonakshi opened up about the beautiful bond she shares with her in-laws.
The actress revealed that she doesn’t know to cook and so does her mother-in-law, who says she has come to the right house.
“I don’t cook at all. My mother cooks so well, and her only thing is that her daughter doesn’t know how to cook. My mother-in-law also doesn’t know how to cook, and she says that you got married in the right house. She said, don’t worry, tu sahi ghar pe aayi hai. I’m fond of eating, but not cooking,” said Sonakshi.
She further shared that she not only lives with her in-laws but also holidays with them as they are quite cool.
“Yes, we go together for holidays. They are all very chill, and they have a lot of fun together. It’s a very close-knit family,” she said.
Before marriage, when Zaheer had asked her if she wanted to live separately or with his parents, Sonakshi chose to stay in a joint-family setup.
“Zaheer had asked me before marriage if I want to live separately from my in-laws, but I said no. I told him, ‘I will live with them; if you want to go, you go’,” she said.
Sonakshi and Zaheer tied the knot on June 23, 2024.
On the work front, Sonakshi will next be seen in the supernatural thriller ‘Jatadhara’, also starring Sudheer Babu and Shilpa Shirodkar.
The film, which is slated to hit theatres on November 7, 2025, will be released in both Telugu and Hindi languages.
‘Jatadhara’ marks Sonakshi’s Telugu debut, in which she will be seen playing the role of a vengeful spirit guarding a hidden treasure.
