Bhubaneswar: Amrutanshu Mohanty, a Class XII student of SAI International School in Bhubaneswar, has topped the JEE (Main) exam for paper 1 (Be/BTech) in Odisha by securing 99.97 percentile.
According to SAI, Amrutanshu scored 99.7 percentile in Physic, 99.96 percentile in Chemistry and 99.94 percentile in Mathematics in session-I. He had also aced the Class X CBSE examination in 2021 by being the school topper with a 99.8%.
A total of 16 students of the school have scored above 99 percentile while 24 secured above 95 percentile and another 31 scored above 90 percentile in the examination, the results of which were announced by National Testing Agency (NTA) on Monday evening.
Other SAIoneers who scored above 99 percentile in JEE (Main) included Sanket Das (99.91), Debasis Patnaik (99.89), Snehil Sanjog (99.83), Sanket Rout (99.80), Samasthita Ghosh (99.74), Rounak Mishra (99.68), Piyush Priyanshu Jena (99.46), Saswat Padhy (99.27), Armaan Pratik Pasayat (99.11) and Toyaj Kabi (99.09).
“I am extremely proud of the achievers for scaling new heights and securing top positions in JEE (Main). Despite the pandemic, numerous SAIoneers have given their best and secured 99 above percentiles, setting a new benchmark. I’m certain they will be the pioneering engineers and innovators in the future,” SAI International Education Group chairperson Silpi Sahoo said.
Similarly, 86 students of DAV Public School, Chandrashekharpur, have qualified with 90 and above percentile.
At Mother’s Public School in the city, 48 students have secured above 90 percentile. S Mohaptra has topped the school with 99.76 percentile followed by Amrutanshu Mishra with 99.52 percentile.
The JEE (Main) session-II exam is scheduled to be held on April 6.7.8.9.10.11, and 12. While candidates are allowed to submit forms till March 7, the admit card will be issued in the last week of March.
