SAI Wins ‘Emerging School Of The Year Award 2019’

Bhubaneswar: City-based SAI International School on Saturday won the ‘Emerging School of The Year Award 2019’ in recognition of its contribution to transforming education delivery and improving learning outcomes.

The award was presented to SAI founder, Bijaya Kumar Sahoo at a function in Udaipur by Prince Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar of Udaipur and Sonam Wangchuk, Founder SECMOL and HIAL, said a statement issued by the school.

The award recognises outstanding contributions made by individuals and organisations involved directly or indirectly in education through pioneering practices and the use of innovation and technology to enrich the lives of learners everywhere, the statement added.

Sahoo participated in the ‘Global Educators Fest’ on August 8 in the lake city and spoke on ‘encouraging creativity in the classroom and making children lifelong learners’. The central theme of the speech was how to create a student-centric, creative learning classroom environment.

Others who spoke, included Anand Kumar of Super 30, Managing Director of South Asia-Cambridge University Press, Ratnesh Kumar Jha, Headmaster of Doon School Matthew Raggett and the Director of Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD) USA Sean Slade.
