Mumbai: ‘Saiyaara’ actress Aneet Padda is all set to romance ‘Homebound’ actor Vishal Jethwa in Maddock Films’ upcoming horror-comedy ‘Shakti Shalini’.
Soon after her debut opposite Ahaan Panday in the blockbuster romantic film ‘Saiyaara’, Aneet was roped in as the female lead for ‘Shakti Shalini’.
Last year, the film was officially announced during the end credits of Ayushmann Khu
rrana and Rashmika Mandanna’s ‘Thamma’.
According to an India Today report, Vishal has been roped in to play the leading man opposite Aneet.
“His character will play a key emotional and narrative role, acting as both a catalyst and counterpoint to the protagonist’s journey,” the report stated, hinting at a captivating and layered character that adds depth to the story.
Earlier, Aneet and Vishal had shared screen space in Revathi’s ‘Salaam Venky’, featuring Kajol in the lead.
Recalling their time on the sets of ‘Salaam Venky’, Vishal told TOI, “We had to do a few emotional scenes, and she would cry without glycerine in every shot. She really connects deeply with her emotions.”
Shooting will begin in March 2026 and the film is scheduled to hit theatres on December 24, 2026.
