Mumbai: After the release of ‘Sikandar’, reports have been doing the rounds that a sequel to the Salman Khan-starrer ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ is in the works.
Pinkvilla quoted a source as saying that Salman met renowned screenwriter V. Vijayendra Prasad a couple of days ago to discuss about ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2’ and the film has already entered the development stage.
“Salman Khan has met V. Vijayendra Prasad a couple of days back. They have come up with an idea and discussions are on that could be for Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2. Moreover, there is a chance of possible collaboration between V. Vijayendra Prasad and director Kabir Khan, the trio is coming together. However, nothing has been finalized yet,” the source said.
In 2023, after a report in Pinkvilla hinted at the possibility of ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2’, Salman himself confirmed that talks for BB-2 are on.
Helmed by Kabir Khan, the 2015 film ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ revolved around Pawan (played by Salman) and Munni (played by Harshaali Malhotra).
The film won a National Award for providing ‘Wholesome Entertainment’.
Vijayendra Prasad’s notable works include ‘Bobbili Simham’ (1994), ‘Magadheera’ (2009), ‘Eega’ (2012), the ‘Baahubali’ franchise (2015–2017), ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ (2015), and ‘RRR’ (2022).
