Mumbai: ‘Bigg Boss’ is set for its biggest expansion yet, with the reality franchise going pan-India in a major move.
Starting September 2026, six editions of the show across Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Bangla will premiere simultaneously, bringing some of the biggest names in entertainment and cricket into the ‘Bigg Boss’ family.
Salman Khan, Vijay Sethupathi, Nagarjuna, Kichcha Sudeepa and Mohanlal will return to lead the franchise’s various editions.
Adding a new dimension to the lineup, former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly will make his ‘Bigg Boss’ debut as the host of the Bangla edition.
To mark the landmark moment, JioStar has introduced India’s Bigg Reality, a first-of-its-kind coffee table book chronicling ‘Bigg Boss’’ 20-year journey, its cultural impact and the lasting legacy it has built across India.
JioStar said the franchise reached over 500 million viewers in 2025, clocking more than 438 billion viewing minutes across its six language editions.
‘Bigg Boss’ also recorded a 47 per cent year-on-year growth in engagement and collaborated with over 625 brands across 46 categories, including 49 first-time advertisers.
On JioHotstar, the 24×7 live feed attracted six out of every 10 viewers, enabling brands to remain connected with audiences beyond regular episodes through ongoing integrations and sponsorships.
India’s Bigg Reality combines data, audience insights and brand case studies to showcase how ‘Bigg Boss’ has evolved from a reality television show into a powerful entertainment and marketing platform.
The book also examines how brands have moved beyond conventional product placements by becoming part of tasks and in-show experiences.
It highlights activations such as Snack and Snack’s drone delivery, Vaseline-themed tasks, a branded elevator and the Spy Kuttan robot as examples of how brands have used the show to drive deeper audience engagement.
