Salman Khan’s Look From ‘Tere Naam’ Was Inspired By This Great Personality

Mumbai: Salman Khan’s look in the film ‘Tere Naam’ was inspired by former Indian President Abdul Kalam, the actor revealed in the ‘The Great Indian Kapil Sharma Show’.

“Ye jo Tere Naam ka jo look hai, woh actually inspired tha Abdul Kalam saab se aur uss dauran I think Rahul Roy ka bhi same hairstyle tha. I thought ki jo small town hero hota hai na, unke humesha lambe baal hotey hai. The yesteryear heroes all had long hair, toh waha se ye aaya tha. (My hairstyle in Tere Naam was inspired by Abdul Kalam sir, even Rahul Roy had the same hairstyle. I thought a smalltown hero would have long hair like this. The yesteryear heroes all had long hair, which inspired me),” shared Salman, who was the first guest of the Netflix show’s third season.

Directed by Satish Kaushik, ‘Tere Naam’ is a remake of Bala’s 1999 Vikram-starrer film ‘Sethu.’ ‘Tere Naam’ marked Bhumika Chawla’s debut in Hindi films.

The film, criticised for the way Salman’s character Radhe treated Bhumika’s character Nirjala, was a moderate success at the box office.

After ‘Sikandar’, Salman will be next seen in the Saudi Arabian-Egyptian film ‘7 Dogs’, which also features Sanjay Dutt.
