New Delhi: Samajwadi Party (SP) founder and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav passed away on Monday at the age of 82. He was undergoing treatment at Medanta hospital in Gurugram.
On Sunday, the Medanta hospital said he was on life-saving drugs and being treated in the ICU by “a comprehensive team of specialists”.
Born on November 22, 1939, Mulayam served as the Uttar Pradesh CM thrice and also as the Union Defence Minister. He was elected 10 times as MLA and seven times as Lok Sabha MP.
