Bhubaneswar: Odisha outplayed Chhattisgarh 4-1 on Saturday to seal a berth in the final round of 78th national football championship for the Santosh Trophy.
Jitu Muduli’s header gave Odisha the lead in the 4th minute. Kartik Hantal netted a brace (39th, 53th), and Roshan Panna added a fourth in 55th minute. Avishek Kunjam converted a penalty in the 84th minute to hand Chhattisgarh a consolation at Amritsar.
Having trounced Madhya Pradesh 6-1 on Thursday, Odisha topped the three-team Group F with 6 points, scoring 10 goals and conceding 2.
