New Delhi: Ever since Sara Ali Khan made her Bollywood debut with ‘Kedarnath’, alongside Sushant Singh Rajput, the actress has been an avid visitor to the sacred temple.
However, as per a fresh report, Badri-Kedar Temple Committee Chairman Hemant Dwivedi said during a recent media interaction that henceforth, all non-Hindus including actress Sara Ali Khan need to submit an affidavit if they wish to seek blessings at the Kedarnath, Badrinath temples.
“If Sara Ali Khan expresses her devotion towards Sanatan Dharma and submits an affidavit, we will allow her to offer prayers,” Dwivedi was quoted as saying by IANS.
During her appearance on Karan Johar’s ‘Koffee With Karan 7’, Sara spoke about her Kedarnath trip, which was a “near-death” experience due to freezing conditions and steep hikes.
“We decided to go to Bhairavnath and there was a normal path for walking. But we thought ourselves to be better. We chose to hike instead. There was an 85 incline of just rocks and Janhvi Kapoor was like ‘Let us just climb this’,” the actress said.
Sara, who often shares glimpses of her temple visits on social media, is yet to share her reaction on the latest development.
On the work front, the actress was last seen in Anurag Basu’s ‘Metro In Dino’ alongside Aditya Roy Kapur. She will next be seen in ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh Do’ along with Ayushmann Khurrana.
