Mumbai: Veteran choreographer Saroj Khan was hospitalised after she complained of breathlessness on Saturday.
Filmmaker Kunal Kohli shared the information after speaking to her son, Raju Khan, and said that she was recovering. He also clarified that she had tested negative for COVID-19.
The 71-year-old was taken to Guru Nanak Hospital in Bandra on Saturday. She is likely to be discharged in a day or two.
Saroj, who started her career as the background dancer at the age of three, shot to fame in the 90s for choreographing Sridevi in songs such as Main Naagin Tu Sapera (Nagina) and Hawaa Hawaai (Mr India). She gave Madhuri Dixit some of her biggest hits including Ek Do Teen (Tezaab), and Dhak Dhak (Beta).
