Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Saturday effected a major reshuffle in senior IPS cadre.
According to a notification issued in this regard, 1988-batch officer Satyajit Mohanty, who is currently serving as the Additional Director General of Police (Provisioning), has been transferred and posted as the new Twin Cities Commissioner of Police. His predecessor 1990-batch officer YB Khurania will replace him.
Similarly, Inspector General of Police (State Armed Police), Odisha Sanjeeb Panda has been posted as the new transport commissioner.
Besides, 1998-batch officer Amitabh Thakur, currently serving as Inspector General (Law and Order), has been given additional charge of State Armed Police.
SP (CID-CB) Pandit Rajesh Uttamrao will take charge as Bhadrak SP, while Batulla Gangadhar has been posted as Kalahnadi SP.
Kalahandi SP Madkar Sandeep Sampat will replace Uttamrao as SP (CID-CB) while Additional SP (Bonai-Rourkela) Debi Prasad Dash will be the SP in-charge of Sonepur district.
Inaddition, Additional DCP (Commissionerate Police-Bhubaneswar) Sashi Bhusan Satapathy has been posted as the new SP in-charge of Nayagarh dstrict.
