Phulbani: A branch of State Bank of India (SBI) in Tumudibandh block of Kandhamal district was sealed after its entire staff tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday.
All the employees were sent to quarantine centres after their test reports came out positive.
Detection of COVID-19 in the entire staff of a bank, which is an essential service, has raised concerns among the banking fraternity and the district administration as well.
Earlier, the district administration had sealed all the banks at Phulbani, G. Udayagiri, Kotagarh, Daringbadi, and Khajuripada for seven days after some of their staff tested positive for the disease.
Meanwhile, 58 more COVID-19 positive cases have been detected in the district taking the tally to 2,064.
With seven deaths and 1, 612 recoveries, Kandhamal district has 445 active cases at present.
