SC Advocate Sibo Sankar Mishra, JO Ananda Ch Behera Appointed Orissa High Court Judges
New Delhi/Cuttack: President Droupadi Murmu has appointed two new judges of the High Court of Orissa. Supreme Court advocate Sibo Sankar Mishra and judicial officer Ananda Chandra Behera have been appointed as Judges of the High Court, official sources said on Saturday.
In exercise of the power conferred by the Constitution of India, the President, after consultation with the Chief Justice of India, is pleased to appoint the new judges. The President also appointed additional judge of Kerala High Court Smt Justice C S Sudha as a Judge in the same High Court, while Budi Habung was appointed as an additional Judge of Gauhati High Court.
The information was shared by the Union Minister of State (I/C) for Law & Justice, Arjun Ram Meghwal on X (formerly Twitter).

It may be noted here that the Supreme Court Collegium had last month recommended the names of advocate Sibo Sankar Mishra and judicial officer Ananda Chandra Behera for appointment as judges in Orissa High Court.
In its resolution published on the Supreme Court website, the Collegium noted that government gave good inputs on personal and professional side for both the candidates.
With respect to advocate Mishra, the resolution had noted that he has a standing of 30 years at the Bar and is an advocate-on-record in Supreme Court for the Odisha government.
Ananda Chandra Behera has served as a judicial officer in different capacities over the years.
