The Supreme Court on Friday stayed the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal order, reinstatingCyrus Mistry as Executive Chairman of the company.
A Bench of Chief Justice SA Bobde and Justices Surya Kant and BR Gavai agreed to hear Tata Sons’ plea challenging the December 18 NCLAT judgment and issued notices to Mistry and others.
Tata Sons had moved the apex court arguing that the same sets a “dangerous legal precedent” and will be adverse to the interests of the company and its members
Earlier, Mistry had said he was not interested in returning to the Tata Sons’ chairmanship.
