SCB Medical College And Hospital Achieves Another Milestone In Plasma Collection
Cuttack: The SCB Medical College and Hospital has once again set a new milestone in the field of Plasma Therapy for achieving 100 procedures.
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik took to twitter his handle to praise the team of SCB Medical College and Hospital.

CM Patnaik had inaugurated the COVID Plasma Bank here for treatment COVID-19 patients on July 15 and had appealed to all eligible donors from the recovered COVID-19 patients to donate plasma.
Personnel of the Odisha Fire Service and the National Disaster Response Force who had tested positive for coronavirus following their deployment in cyclone-hit West Bengal have also come forward to donate plasma after recovery.
Within a month, it has collected more than 200 units of plasma from 105 people recovered from COVID-19.
The SCB team has also been lauded by the state health and family welfare department on Friday. In fact, an SCB medical student is the first lady donor of Odisha. She had also urged everyone, who recently recovered from the disease, to donate plasma for the recovery of thousands of patients who are battling with the deadly COVID-19 virus in various COVID hospitals.

Of these, 210 units of plasma were collected. Among them, 168 units were sent to various COVID hospitals.
The State Department of Health and Family Welfare applauded the nodal officer of Plasma Bank and Department of Transfusion Medicine Dr. Smita Mohapatra for her achievement.
