Bhubaneswar: Two more swine flu deaths were reported on Wednesday, taking the toll to 42 in the state this season. The patients, a 15-year-old girl and a 55-year-old woman, were undergoing treatment at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
Meanwhile, six of 22 swab samples sent for examination have tested positive for the H1N1 virus. The fresh cases were detected in VIMSAR (3) and one each at Apollo Hospital, KIIMS and MKCG Medical College and Hospital. The patients belong to Khurda (1), Bargarh (3) and Ganjam (1).
So far, 1111 samples have been tested and 361 among them found infected with the viral influenza, health department sources said.
