Patna: India Meteorological Department (IMD) chief Mrutyunjay Mohapatra said two days ago that the severe heatwave in the country will decline from the end of this month. But before that India is suffering from extremely high temperatures.
As Delhi’s Mungeshpur recorded the highest-ever temperature of 52.3 degree Celsius on Wednesday, there was scary news from Bihar’s Sheikhpura.
Several school students had to be hospitalised after fainting due to the heat with the mercury touching 42.9 degrees Celsius.
ANI posted a video on X showing students at a school appearing extremely exhausted as teachers try to help them by providing spraying water and providing fluid. They were rushed to a hospital where they received saline injections.
