Phulbani: Hours after a Class VIII girl student delivered a baby at a tribal residential high school at Daringbadi, Kandhamal collector Dr Brunda D on Sunday suspended three assistant superintendents and dismissed an ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery), two matrons and two cook-cum-attendants of the girls’ hostel for dereliction of duty.
Besides, she also recommended the state government to initiate departmental action against the headmistress of the residential high school.

The collector has asked the Baliguda sub-collector to conduct a thorough probe into the incident and submit a report within 10 days
