Bhubaneswar: The second-phase admission to vacant seats in eight medical colleges and hospital and two BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) colleges began in Odisha on Monday.
The admission would continue till August 18.
According to the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) authorities, admission to the vacant seats in SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack and MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur is underway on the first day of the second-phase admission.
While the admission in the SCB Medical College and Hospital was held from 10 am to 1 pm, in MKCG Medical College and Hospital will be conducted from 2 pm to 5 pm.
OJEE would conduct spot counselling between August 21 and 22 in case some seats fall vacant after the second-phase admission.
In the first phase, admission to 898 seats of the state quota and 130 seats of the all India quota has been completed.
The first-phase admission was held between July 5 and 9 while regular classes started from August 1.
