Sendhatira Panchayat In Odisha’s Bhadrak District Declared Containment Zone
Bhadrak: The district administration on Saturday declared Sendhatira panchayat, under Bant block of Bhadrak district, as a containment zone after two persons tested coronavirus positive. The total number of Covid-19 cases in Bhadrak has thus gone up to 113.
Follow-up actions including contact tracing have been taken up, while movement of people and vehicles in the area has been prohibited. The ‘containment zone’ tag will remain in force from 10 am on Saturday to 10 am on June 3.
Vested with collector’s power, Sendhatira sarpanch Premalata Pradhan ordered entry and exit routes of villages and the local market to be sealed. Premalata warned that legal action will be initiated against violators.
The villages and market which come under containment zone are Charipokharia, Sathitira, Sendhitira village and Sendhitira local market.
Notably, the duo had returned to their respective houses after completing quarantine periods at Nilok centre in this panchayat. However, during their home quarantine, they tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday.
