Bhubaneswar: Senior BJD leader and Baramba (Cuttack) MLA Debi Prasad Mishra has tested positive for COVD-19.
Taking to social media, the former minister on Sunday said he had isolated him after his driver tested positive for the virus the previous day.
The test results of other employees and their family members were found to be negative.
“My oxygen level is fine. Since diabetic, I am consulting doctors,” he added.
Earlier, Rural Development Minister Susanta Singh, Bhubaneswar (Central) MLA Ananta Narayan Jena, Nilagiri MLA Sukanta Nayak, Khandapada MLA Soumya Ranjan Patnaik, Polsara MLA Srikant Sahu, Remuna MLA Sudhansu Sekhar Parida, Salepur MLA Prasant Behera, BJP MP from Bargarh Lok Sabha constituency Suresh Pujari, Bhadrak MLA Sanjib Mallick and Bhadrak MP Manjulata Mandal had tested positive positive for the virus.
On Saturday, Asish Mahakul, the Personal Security Officer (PSO) of MLA and former mayor of Bhubaneswar Ananta Narayan Jena, died of COVID-19 infection.
