Senior Clerk Of Govt Health Centre Caught Taking Bribe In Odisha
Bhubaneswar: The Vigilance sleuths on Monday apprehended senior clerk of Simulia Community Health Centre in Odisha’s Balasore district while allegedly accepting Rs 8,000 as bribe.
According to an official release, the accused, Manoj Kumar Bhanja, had demanded illegal gratification from a contractual nursing officer for processing file for regularisation of his service on completion of the contractual period. The entire bribe money was recovered from him.
Following the trap, simultaneous searches are on at two locations linked to Bhanja to ascertain accumulation of disproportionate assets. A case has also been registered under Section 7 of Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, 2018, at Balasore Vigilance police station, it added.
