Bhubaneswar: Senior Congress leader and Jeypore MLA Taraprasad Bahinipati has been admitted to a hospital in Odisha capital following complications in his health condition.
Bahinipati has not been keeping well since he was infected by COVID nearly one and a half years back, said his wife and Koraput district Congress president Minakshirani Bahinipati. He had been admitted to SUM Hospital in Bhubaneswar for COVID treatment.
Even after he recovered from COVID, Bahinipati had post-COVID complications and underwent treatment in a private hospital at Secunderabad for a long time.
His wife said the MLA again fell ill with high fever during Dussehra and was yet to recover. As his condition deteriorated two days, he was admitted to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar. His condition has been improving following treatment, she added.
