Bhubaneswar: The rituals, which were stalled following a dispute between the two sevayat bodies at Lingaraj Temple on Wednesday morning, resumed after a meeting by the temple administrator and the district administration.
Talking to mediapersons, Brahmana Nijog secretary Biranchi Narayan Pati said that the dispute has been resolved following the intervention by the temple administrator, Endowment Commissioner and the Khurda collector.
He said that the rituals of the Lord during the Maha Shivrati will be held as per the schedule and the Mahadeep will be raised at 10 pm.
Earlier in the day, the rituals in the temple were stopped by the sevayats of the Badu Nijog and Brahmana Nijog after the Abakasha and Mailam nitis.
