Several People, Cop Injured In Shooting In Washington D.C.
Washington D.C.: Several people, including a Metropolitan Police Department officer, were injured in a shooting incident in Washington D.C. on Monday.
A teenager, who was shot, is reported to be dead, police said.
The shooting took place in the 14th and U Street, NW area.
“Three civilians — two adults and one juvenile — were shot. One police officer was also shot at. The police officer and two victims are recovering at a hospital. One victim, the juvenile, it appears is deceased,” Metropolitan Police Department chief Robert J. Contee said.
The shooting took place during Moechella, an “advocacy festival amplifying the culture of Washington D.C.”
