Several Villages In Odisha’s Ganjam District Declared Containment Zone
Berhampur: Several villages in Ganjam district were declared containment zone after many locals tested corona positive on Saturday.
Narendrapur village under Chatrapur block, which is famous for its ‘Ranapa’ dance, ‘Jodi Sankha’ and folk arts, has been declared as containment zone for five days from Saturday.
Local sarpanch Babula Behera declared Narendrapur and its neighbouring villages as containment zone after a hotel owner on the Railway Station Road tested corona positive on the day. He was in contact with migrant workers who used to visit the hotel for the last few days.
Similarly, Ghadaghadapalli under Sri Ramchandrapur panchayat has come under containment zone for five days after the corona test of three villagers was found to be positive, according to Sri Ramchandrapur sarpanch Rebati Pradhan.
Pratapur village under Purushottampur block was also declared containment zone after corona positive cases were reported from there.
All the entry points of these villages have been sealed.
