Bhubaneswar: The Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) on Thursday issued severe thunderstorm and lightning warning for eight blocks of Sundargarh and Deogarh districts on the basis of the forecast by the US-based Met agency Earth Networks.
According to the forecast, there will be severe lightning in Nuagaon, Bisra, Lathikata, Gurunida, Koida, Bonaigarh and Lahunipada blocks of Sundargarh district and Barkote block of Deogarh district by 5.01 pm.

The SRC office has advised the people of these two blocks to stay indoors during the period.
