Mumbai: Superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who won a prestigious National Award recently, had made history as Bollywood’s top billionaire on the Hurun India Rich List 2025 with a net worth of Rs 12,490 crore. His fans and followers attribute this to the Bollywood Badshah’s years of relentless hard work, not just in films but beyond.
His Red Chillies Entertainment is a huge success. So is the Kolkata Knight Riders IPL franchise. This has helped in transforming the 59-year-old Khan’s brand into a formidable wealth engine.
The others from Bollywood in the list include Juhi Chawla and family at Rs 7,790 crore, with their stakes in Knight Riders Sports and various joint ventures keeping their fortune robust. Hrithik Roshan, with his HRX fitness and lifestyle brand, reports Rs 2,160 crore, while filmmaker Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions empire and diversified investments tally up to Rs 1,880 crore.
Amitabh Bachchan, an icon, whose acting career spans five decades, debuts on the list at Rs 1,630 crore thanks to production credits and savvy real estate holdings.
But the richest from Bollywood are nothing in comparison to Indian industrialists.
Mukesh Ambani and family sit at the top of the list with Rs 9.55 lakh crore, followed by Gautam Adani and family at Rs 8.15 lakh crore. Roshni Nadar Malhotra has charged into third place with Rs 2.84 lakh crore, marking her as India’s richest woman and a beacon for female entrepreneurship.
Together, these titans exemplify the traditional pillars of petrochemicals, energy and diversified conglomerates that have shaped India’s economy for decades.
This year’s Hurun India Rich List also highlights how speed, innovation and young talent are reshaping India’s wealth landscape.
Zepto co-founders Kaivalya Vohra (22) and Aadit Palicha (23) top the youngest wealth creators list with fortunes of Rs 4,480 crore and Rs 5,380 crore.
