Mumbai: Shahid Kapoor, who reunited with Nana Patekar in ‘O’ Romeo’ after 16 years, called his chemistry with the veteran ‘sexy’ and revealed that he really enjoyed working with him.
Talking about his experience of working with Nana, Shahid said, “Yes! I really enjoyed working with Nana Patekar in Paathshaala. In fact, I was talking to him just today. I told him, ‘Sir, the chemistry between you and me is very sexy.’ It’s great fun working with him. He is an outstanding actor. When the camera turns on and he starts performing, it’s not only enjoyable to work with him, but you also get to learn a lot from him. I’ve been watching him since my childhood. In this film, we have some very entertaining scenes together.”
At the trailer launch event on Wednesday, Nana was seen walking on the red carpet along with director Vishal Bhardwaj.
However, it was reported later that the veteran actor left the event before the trailer launch as apparently, lead actors Shahid and Triptii didn’t turn up on time.
Speaking about Nana’s early exit from the event, the director said, “Woh bachcha hota hai na class mein jo sabko bully karta hai, masti karta hai, and jiske sath sab rehna chahte hai, Nana vo hai. (He is like a student who likes to bully everyone in the class and have fun, but everyone wants to be with him.)”
He added, “Woh hote toh acha hota, but vo apne signature style mein uthe or bole ‘mujhe 1 ghanta wait karvaya, mein jarha hai hoon’ or vo chale gaye, par hume iska bilkul bura nahi laga because we know him.(It would have been great if he was present today, but he got up in his signature style and said ‘they made me wait for an hour, I am leaving’ and he walked out. But we didn’t feel bad at all because we know him.)”
