Shahid Kapoor & Kriti Sanon To Reunite For Homi Adajania’s ‘Cocktail 2’

Mumbai: After winning hearts with their chemistry in ‘Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya’, Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon are set to team up for ‘Cocktail 2.’

According to a report in Pinkvilla, ‘Cocktail 2’, a sequel of the 2012 film ‘Cocktail’, will be directed by Homi Adajania’ and produced by Dinesh Vijan.

Like its prequel, ‘Cocktail 2’ will also be a love triangle. Besides Kriti and Shahid, the hunt for the second female lead is on.

Rumours are doing the rounds that ‘Pushpa’ star Rashmika Mandanna might be roped in.

“After the success of Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon are reuniting on Cocktail 2. The duo loved the script and are excited to venture into the world of this romantic comedy,” a source told Pinkvilla.

Written by Imtiaz Ali, the ‘Cocktail’ featured Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty in lead roles. It revolved around a playboy (Saif), a photographer (Deepika) and a conservative girl (Diana).

‘Cocktail 2’ will go on floors in May 2025.

Shahid is currently shooting for Rosshan Andrrews’ ‘Deva’, which also stars Pooja Hegde.

Kriti was last seen in ‘Crew’ and the Netflix release ‘Do Patti.’
