In a shameless act, three people were booked for allegedly raping a four-year-old dog in Hathras district in Uttar Pradesh.

According to sources, the three accused stole the dog from its owner’s house and later raped it in Jalesar Road area.

One of the accused has been identified as Dinesh Kumar.

An FIR has been registered against them under Section 11 in Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act and Section 377 (unnatural offence) of the IPC.

The dog’s owner, Santosh Devi, lodged a police complaint, mentioning that Dinesh lived in a rented accommodation next to her house.

As per the complaint, Kumar had lured the dog on Thursday by offering it an egg. Kumar and his two accomplices, in their inebriated state, then took turns to rape the dog, said the FIR.

Santosh Devi said her pet dog went missing on Thursday night and she found her dog lying unconscious in Kumar’s room on Friday morning. She found her dog in a critical condition.

The police have sent the dog for medical examination. Further investigation into the matter is on.
