Puri: In a shocking incident, a Class V girl student was allegedly raped by her school headmaster in Nimapara area of Odisha’s Puri district on Thursday.
According to sources, Nabaghana Sethy, the headmaster of a primary school in Nimapara, allegedly raped the girl in a classroom on the school premises.
The victim narrated the ordeal to her parents, following which, they along with villagers locked up the headmaster in the school.
On being informed, the police rushed to the spot and rescued the headmaster. Based on the complaint, registered by the victim’s family members, the police arrested Sethy.
As per the complaint, Sethy molested the girl several times, whenever he found her alone in the classroom.
