Mumbai: Shekhar Suman is not in the ‘mood for any revelry or excitement’ to celebrate his birthday on December 7. Instead, he will pray for closure in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case.
The 57-year-old actor-producer-director has been quite vocal in demanding justice for Sushant, who was found hanging in his Bandra residence on June 14.
“I’m not celebrating my bday on the 7th Dec. That’s the least I can do for Sushant. There is no mood for any revelry or excitement. Instead, I will pray that his culprits are caught soon and this case is given closure. #StayUnited4SSR,” Shekhar posted on Twitter.

Mumbai Police, which had taken up the case, came to the conclusion that Sushant committed suicide. But following an FIR filed in Patna by Sushant’s family, the case was transferred to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) are also conducting parallel investigations into money laundering and drug angles, respectively. But there has no conclusive report almost six months after the Bollywood actor breathed his last.
His girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, who has been accused of abetment to suicide by Sushant’s family, was arrested by NCB on drug-related charges in the case, got bail after being in Byculla jail for almost a month.
