Bhubaneswar: The State Government has issued instructions to segregate symptomatic cases from the rest of the inhabitants in temporary medical camps (TMC) and quarantine centres.
In a letter, additional chief secretary Pradipta Mohapatra has directed district collectors, municipal commissioners, and executive officers of urban local bodies to shift the symptomatic cases identified after screening to COVID Care Centres (CCC).
The officials have also been told to conduct COVID test of vulnerable groups, including pregnant women, children under the age of five, physically and mentally challenged persons, transgenders and persons above 60 years and co-morbid conditions (diabetes, asthma, kidney disease or hypertension) on priority.
Besides, they have been directed to strictly follow the Government guidelines at these centres including repeated hand washing, wearing face mask and social distancing.
