Mumbai: Amid ongoing speculation about his much-talked-about wedding with fiancée Sophie Shine, former Indian cricket star Shikhar Dhawan took to his social media handle on Thursday to share glimpses from his sangeet night.
Looking elegant in festive attire, Shikhar celebrated the special event with his close friends and family.
The pictures shared on social media reflected a warm, intimate celebration which included music, dance, and heartfelt moments, signalling that the wedding festivities have kicked off.
In no time, Shikhar’s post went viral and garnered over 77,000 likes, as fans and well-wishers flooded the comments section with congratulatory messages.

Dhawan announced his engagement to Sophie on January 2, with a heartfelt note that read, “From shared smiles to shared dreams. Grateful for the love, the blessings, and every good wish for our engagement as we choose togetherness forever.”
Sophie, an Irish professional, is currently serving as Second Vice President at Northern Trust Corporation in Abu Dhabi, UAE. She graduated in Marketing and Management from the Limerick Institute of Technology.
Sophie is also actively involved in philanthropic efforts and plays a pivotal role in the Shikhar Dhawan Foundation.
Shikhar was previously married to Melbourne-based kickboxer Aesha Mukherji, with whom he has a son named Zoravar. The couple officially separated in October 2023 with a Delhi court granting Shikhar the divorce on grounds of mental cruelty and agony inflicted by his ex-wife. The former cricketer has also publicly spoken about the emotional challenges of limited contact with his child following the separation.
