Mumbai: Actress Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra organised the Sukhmani Sahib Paath at their residence even as Mumbai Police issued a lookout circular against them in the Rs 60-crore fraud case.
Despite being in news for their involvement in the fraud case, Shilpa and Raj kept sharing their life updates on social media.
Sukhmani Sahib Paath was held by the couple to pray for the success of Raj’s debut Punjabi film ‘Mehar’ and also for the well-being of Punjab flood victims.
Raj also contributed the opening day collection of ‘Mehar’ for flood relief.
Sharing a video of himself and Shilpa listening to the Paath together, Raj wrote, “Sukhmani Sahib Paath at home Kept by my wife @theshilpashetty, praying for the success of Mehar and, more importantly, for the strength and well-being of our brothers and sisters in Punjab. In these times when Punjab faces the pain of floods, we hold on to faith and prayer. May Waheguru bless everyone with courage, healing, and hope. Cinema can entertain, but for me it is as about the sewa. Together, let’s make prayers turn into action.”

In yet another video, Shilpa and her sister Shamita spoke about Bhagvad Gita and urged everyone to read the holy book and seek direction when life gets tough.
“Bhagavad Gita For All has been something truly personal to our journey and daily lives. The Gita guides our family back to stillness and love with purpose and clarity,” a part of her caption read.

For the unversed, Mumbai Police’s Economic Offences Wing (EOW) has registered a case against Shilpa and Raj based on a complaint filed by businessman Deepak Kothari, who accused the celebrity couple of duping him of Rs 60 crore.
The complainant alleged that between 2015 and 2023, the couple asked him to invest under the pretext of business expansion. However, instead of using the funds for business expansion, Shilpa and Raj allegedly used the money for personal expenses, claimed Kothari.
