Mumbai: After ringing in the New Year in London, Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra celebrated Lohri and Makar Sankranti with her family in India.
While the 49-year-old actress has several projects lined up in India, including her Kannada debut film ‘KD-The Devil’, unlike other Bollywood actors, she has no plans of venturing into Hollywood any time soon.
“I don’t think I am so ambitious. I am [simply] complacent, and I am enjoying this phase of my life. I have worked so hard and I am very content. So, I don’t think I can go and audition there (Hollywood),” she said.
Reflecting on her journey in Indian Cinema, she added, “After working for 30 years, I don’t have the patience to start as a newcomer. If you want to see my talent, go and see my old films! And if you feel I fit the bill, then okay. I am not doing auditions for anyone!”
The actress further shared that her family is very important for her. She cannot leave her family and stay aboard to work in Hollywood projects.
“It’s always family over work. I cannot leave my children for so many days. I am very clear about my priorities. There’s a lot happening for me here,” the actress said while emphasising the importance of family.
In her career, spanning for nearly three decades, Shilpa has worked in both commercial blockbusters like Baazigar, Main Khiladi Tu Anari, and Dhadkan and critically acclaimed films like Life In… A Metro, Phir Milenge and Apne.
