Titlagarh: Another happy incidence pertaining to a Shramik Special train was reported when a passenger gave birth in Titlagarh on Friday.
Railway sources said the woman identified as Pinki Chhatar (23) was travelling on the 07421 Tirupati-Nawapara Road Shramik Special train. Soon after the train reached Titlagarh around 9.50 am, the woman started having labour pain.
Alerted by fellow passengers, the train was backed from line no 4 and re-routed to line no 1 at the station. A railway doctor and staff rushed to the compartment to attend to the woman.
The station staff arranged a conveyance to take Pinki to the Government Hospital in Titilagrh around 10.30 am. She later gave birth to a girl there.
