New Delhi: Sushant Singh Rajput’s flatmate Siddharth Pithani reportedly told the Mumbai Police as well as the CBI team that the late actor’s family members had asked him to cut the noose and bring his hanging body down.
According to an IANS report, a family member of Sushant has refuted this claim and accused him of lying.
“Pithani’s statement, which is coming out in media, that Sushant’s body was brought down on the request of family members is a lie,” the family member told IANS.
“In fact, his family members arrived in Mumbai from Delhi late in the evening on June 14 due to the COVID-19 lockdown and by that time, the body was already taken to Cooper Hospital for autopsy,” added the family member.
The family member also questioned as to how the key of Sushant’s room went missing on that fateful day.
“It was shocking for us to note that the key was missing from the flat when everybody was home. It was also surprising for us that a key maker was called and he was not allowed to enter the room,” said the family member.
Sushant was found hanging at his Bandra residence on June 14. The actor’s flatmate Siddharth Pithani was reportedly the first one who entered the room and found him hanging from the ceiling fan.
