An annual ritual of the Odisha Cultural Calendar, the national-level Sisir Saras rural fair was inaugurated by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik through virtual mode on Tuesday.
Organised by Odisha Rural Development and Marketing Society (ORMAS), this pan-India fair aims to create market linkage of rural producers among urban consumers.
Being held at Unit 3 Exhibition Ground, 300 stalls have been set up at the fair, which will continue till January 6. Artisans and handloom/handicraft experts from 30 districts of Odisha and 20 smallscale traders from other states are participating.
Ten food stalls from the state and outside have been opened at the fair. Koraput Coffee stall is a new addition to the fair.
More than 400 Self Help Groups have taken part in the fair, including more than 500 sellers.

The fair is open from 11 am to 9 pm
