Koraput: Out of 42 fresh COVID-19 positive cases reported from the south Odisha district of Koraput on Sunday, six are corona warriors.
The six corona warriors, which include two health care providers and four policemen, are among 13 local contact cases. The remaining seven local contact cases have contact with a positive case of Damanjodi, the district administration said in a tweet.
Of the remaining 29 fresh positive cases, 9 are from the temporary medical centres (TMCs) of which 5 are from Semiliguda (3 Ganjam returnees and 2 Andhra Pradesh returnees), 3 from Pottangi (2 Andhra Pradesh returnees and one Bhubaneswar returnee) while one case is from Jeypore (Telengana returnee).
Out 20 home quarantine cases, two are from Jeypore (Andhra Pradesh returnees), one from Koraput (Maharashtra returnee), 14 cases (5 from Pottangi, 5 from Damanjodi, 4 from Semiliguda) are Ganjam returnees, 2 cases from Damanjodi (one Cuttack returnee and one Kalahandi returnee) and one belongs to Jeypore Municipality (Rayagada returnee).
