Jajpur: Six persons were critically injured when an ambulance collided head-on with a speeding truck near Bhalukhai Chhak in Odisha’s Jajpur district in the early hours of Friday.
According to sources, five members of a family of Kenduapada village in Bhadrak district had gone to Puri in an ambulance to cremate their kin at Swargadwar. The accident took place while they were on their way back.
The locals informed the Sadar Police who rushed and admitted the seriously-injured six persons, including the driver, to the community health centre (CHC) in Dharmasala.
Police later seized the two vehicles and arrested the truck driver.
