Berhampur: Police on Monday detained six persons for their alleged involvement in a bombing case that took place near Lanjipalli Square in Ganjam district on Sunday.
According to police sources, the accused persons were nabbed after examining the footage of a CCTV camera installed near the crime scene.
In the video, a youth is seen waiting for the car to reach near him following which he took out a bomb from a bag and hurled it on the vehicle.
The detainees are being interrogated to extract more information from them regarding involvement of other persons in the crime and the reason behind the same.
Four persons were seriously injured after a bomb was thrown at the car in which they were travelling at Dhipasahi area under BN Pur police station limits in the district.
The victims were admitted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital here for treatment.
