Bhubaneswar: Temperature soared in different parts of Odisha with six places recording 35 degree Celsius or more on Sunday.
According to evening bulletin of the regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Bhubaneswar, Balangir recorded the highest maximum temperature of 36.7 degree Celsius on the day.
Balangir was followed by Titlagarh in the same district with 36 degree Celsius, Paralakhemundi 35.8, Jharsuguda 35.6, Sambalpur 35.1 and Bhawanipatna 35.
The maximum temperature in twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack was recorded at 34.9 and 33 degree Celsius respectively.
The IMD has forecast that dry weather is very likely to prevail in the state on Monday. Shallow to moderate fog is very likely during early morning hours at a few places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Nayagarh, Angul, Dhenkanal districts and at one or two places in Mayurbhanj,
Keonjhargarh, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Sundargarh, Ganjam and Puri districts.
Bhubaneswar and its neighbouring areas will experience moderate fog while maximum and minimum temperature is very likely to be around 35 and 22 degree Celsius respectively.
