Bhubaneswar: Six samples tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) on Thursday, taking the state’s tally to 48.
According to the official website of the Health and Family Welfare Department, 408 samples were sent for tests and the results of six were found to be positive.
Earlier in the day, the Odisha government had informed about two positive cases – a 51-year-old woman of Dhenkanal and a 69-year-old man of Medinipur, West Bengal, undergoing treatment in a hospital in Bhubaneswar.
It had also shared the travel history of these two patients.

With one death and two recoveries, Odisha now has 45 active cases.
