Berhampur: A six-year-old boy choked to death in a car parked near his grandparents’ house in Jagannathprasad block in Bhanjanagar town on Saturday.
The boy, Sai Krishna, was attending his maternal grandmother’s Dashah (10th day after funeral) with his mother. While playing outside in the afternoon, he got into the car and the doors got locked. Failing to open the doors, he suffocated inside and collapsed.
After a while, family members started looking for him and found him unconscious inside the car. They rushed him to Bhanjanagar Sub-Divisional Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
His father Bikram Pradhan is stuck in Surat due to the lockdown.
