New Delhi: India skipper Virat Kohli, known for his short fuse, has landed in trouble again.

Kohli reportedly barged into the match referee’s room shortly after the IPL match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Mumbai Indians (MI) ended on Thursday and hurled expletives at him.

He was livid as umpire S. Ravi failed to spot the no-ball that Lasith Malinga bowled as the last delivery of the match. Kohli’s team RCB lost the match.

He expressed his displeasure in the post-match presentation ceremony and was also learnt to have told the match referee Manu Nayyar that he doesn’t care if he was penalised for violating the code of conduct.

The IPL management is reportedly contemplating action against Kohli.

During the post-match media interaction, Kohli said: “We are playing at the IPL level. Its not club level. The umpires should have their eyes open. That was a big no-ball.”

If he is penalised for his behaviour, this will not be the first time for him. Back in 2012, on the tour of Australia, where he got his maiden test hundred, Kohli was slapped 50 per cent of the match fee after he responded to repeated sledging from the crowd with a middle-finger-gesture.

In 2015, Kohli lost his cool at an event when he spotted a journalist he mistakenly thought had written an article about him and his wife Anushka Sharma. Kohli confronted him and, according to a PTI report, used abusive language.

Early this week, wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant had remarked that the one thing that scared him was Kohli’s anger.
