Sundargarh: Vehicular movement on the key Brahmani bridge in Rourkela came to a halt after a slab of the bridge collapsed on Tuesday morning.
According to sources, the slab caved in due to the movement of heavy vehicles on the bridge. Following this, hundreds of vehicles were stranded on both the sides of the bridge.
However, iron plates were fitted at the damaged site. A police platoon was deployed near the bridge to control the traffic.
